I wouldn't include healthiness as a major attribute of success at all. I would say success is how close you've gotten to achieving your personal goals.

It's simple, really: Expectations minus reality equals disappointment ...

+1. If you are able to set goals for yourself and achieve those goals, then you are a success IMO.

When I can afford to build that outdated '60s Futuristic mansion compound I've always wanted, and then leave it to decay for that decrepit failed Utopia look and huge carbon footprint.

if you're going to quote someone, at least give the man credit.

Success to me would be leaving the house each day, heading to a job I loved, surrounded by committed, bright colleagues with no political agenda. It would involve heading into meetings where questions were asked as a result of genuine inquisitiveness rather than the desire to score points or try to pwn another colleague in front of the boss.

Guess I am a massive failure.

its actually a gengis khan quote:

"The greatest happiness is to scatter your enemy, to drive him before you, to see his cities reduced to ashes, to see those who love him shrouded in tears, and to gather into your bosom his wives and daughters."
Genghis Khan quote

Success is being content with yourself, regardless of external circumstances.
