OK gentlemen, I've put my money where my mouth is. Who else will step up and wear a Glennie?

Suit: Attolini for Barbera

Tie-Square: Hermes ala Glennie
Shoes: Rubinacci

As usual, I was the most stylish at the yearly party; The women couldn't stop asking about my outfit and the tie in particular. I'm fairly fashion forward for the area so they just assumed it was another New York designer they hadn't heard of yet.

Nope, not photoshopped. I really cut the tie and it really was a Hermes. Apologies to the generous member here who sent it to me with a set of other purchases -- it had a small light mark across the face of the tie that was hardly noticable... but it made a good test tie for my fashion experiments.

It was at Mr. Glennie's request that I make my own at this time as he is not ready with the Tie-Square for market.

An eg knock-off? Or is it a knock-on, since you used quality materials?
Either way it took some genuine balls.

Looks like one of those older Glennie ties from the duty free shops before EG repurchased all the licenses. Lame.

I agree, SO LAME. They are OBVIOUSLY from the made in canada DIFFUSION line, "Glennie by Eric Glennie." I saw these at Century 21 and they were clearly inferior to the original MAINLINE we know and love. First of all, they are not, I REPEAT, NOT cut from 64-inch JERRY GARCIA ties. They are made from some french canadian knockoff brand called Airmaze. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS dilution of the real EG.

Did you print out some Glennie business cards on a dot matrix printer and hand them out to interested partygoers?

Maybe a Glennie Tie-Tree would be a good option to offer businesses for their corporate parties:

I know it can be tough to understand a designer's "vision" when it is raw (like a runway show) -- I decided to translate Glennie to the average SF'ers wardrobe to see how pieces (but not the whole mannequin outfit) can work in real life.

I'm not sure I want to send out the link to EG's website. It might ruin the air of mystery I carry about my wardrobe.
