The Karate Kid II. It's so much more than a movie.

I agree that Children of Men is great, but i thought that Babel was pretty rubbish.

I saw Zodiac a few days ago and it's pretty good. The thing that struck me is that murder scenes look pretty real.

Wonderful film. Really great.

I hated Pan's Labyrinth, but I'll save my petty rant.

Enjoyed Children of Men and Babel, though I think much of the latter was the landscapes and the music.

i didn't find babel as clever as i wanted it to be. i was really hoping for some obscure way they all connected together that would bowl me over, but i really wasn't as impressed as i had hoped to be.

i saw 28 weeks later last night, and i have to say that i really enjoyed it. it's one of the best sequels i've seen in a while, and while they upped their budget from the first one, it wasn't done excessively. if zombie movies are your thing, it's definately worth a watch.

i just saw dancer in the dark for the first time as well. it really is as terrific as everyone says.

Recently caught the last 3/4 of the HBO movie, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. Thought it was particularly well done, though very depressing. I would imagine the number of native Americans that died over the years from European colonization and the subsequent wars, diseases, etc. would rival or exceed the Holocaust or Stalin's purges.

PBS recently replayed my all-time favorite movie, "Casablanca". It's never as good as the first time, since I know what lines are coming, but it's always good.

I saw "Good Will Hunting" yesterday and it was OK, not great but not bad. Robin Williams always impresses me with the range of his acting ability.

"Knocked Up" is the kind of movie I'd normally skip, based on the ads, but based on opinions I've read here, I may go see it.

Saw "The Namesake" -- had issues with the screenplay, but not bad. Rented "An Inconvenient Truth" which was much better than I thought it would be. "Brick" with the kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun was very good -- noir detective story set in high school. But I caught the last 45 mins of "The Godfather" on Saturday and it topped pretty much everything else.

You should - it's absolutely hilarious. And it's actually a pretty legitimate movie too
