No job. Relationship is teetering on fail. No future. I've come to the conclusion that I have very little to live for. Or do I? Argue against my position.

Here's my best argument:

No one really has anything to live for. You simply choose to live because you want to experience.

What is a job? It's a source of income that does what? Allow one to buy stuff that they might enjoy or need. But other than choosing to enjoy something, it is inherently meaningless in terms of life.

What is a relationship? A feeling of acceptance? Physical pleasure? Again, meaningless in terms of life. You die alone regardless of being in a relationship.

The future? It doesn't matter, it never will. Life is about the journey. You either understand that life is about experiencing life or you don't. There is no such thing as constant happiness or a perfect life.

Everything that you encounter shapes who you are. Some people have worse experiences than others, chances are, someone is worse off than you and someone is better off than you.

Or, you could always go with a more commonly accepted mental/emotional escape route and believe in a god of your preference.

I suggest you join the military asap. I'm not normally one of those "you need to shape up and ship out son" types, but it sounds like you can use the adventure and the sense of purpose.

Also, having dudes shooting at you might show you that living ain't as bad as dying.

job and women are not the only purpose of life.

They are not there to measure success, no matter what some would want you to believe.

Go out and actually think about YOURSELF and what YOU want. Try to make yourself happy and

forget the rest. Don't do anything stupid because of what might now feel like a black hole. There's

always away.

What's bad about dying?
