That's some J Crew mafia **** right there. What'd he think btw?

I just a bought a button down secret wash (in small). When I tried it on it fit ok, but it was quite wrinkled, and when I got it home I ironed it and now it seems too big. I was going to return it but reading through this thread it seems like you guys think it might shrink in the wash. I think it's 100% cotton, but I've tried to shrink other shirts recently and have had little success. Should I give it a shot?

I have had the exact same thing happen with the secret wash shirt. I suggest returning it and ordering a XS on the red phone. It won't shrink much in the wash.

Today I returned a J Crew vintage hand tooled belt in brown color I bought last fall. They are sold out now so it should be popping up online after the returns people process it. It's a size 36 which seemed smaller than most that size. I'd say it will fit a waist size 32-34 pretty well. Here is the pic, they will probably post it for around $110. Just looking out if anyone has been looking for one.

I have this belt--it's a beautiful piece. Fits every so slightly small IMO.

Well, my concern was about the shawl collar cardigan. I had tried on a small, a medium, and a large and couldn't seem to make up my mind how it should fit. The small and medium looked good but they felt wrong, too constricting. The large felt great but I wondered if it looked too big. I was also kind of weirded out about the sweater looking slim on the model but also at the length I wanted. The large gave me the length but not the slim fit.

Basically, the rep noted my concerns, then told me that he would find one in his normal size, try it on, and get back to me. I thought, yeah, right. But a day later, I got an e-mail, and he gave me his report. He said that to him the sweater seemed like it was designed to fit like a loose jacket and not a tight-fitting sweater, and that for him, in his usual size (a Large, I think), that the cardigan fit right--it was comfortable, a little loose-fitting, and the right length.

Anyway, that was enough to help me decide on going with a Large, and I've been happy with the fit.

Just got my order it. In love with the Baird McNutt Linen Camp shirt. Possibly one of the best purchases I've made assuming it stands up to time. They just added two new colors and I'm probably going to order it in white and the pale green color (although I really wish there was a pale blue).

The clasp was loose on one of the Essential Wool trousers I got so I just setup that exchange (which kind of sucks that I basically have to re-order it and then mail it in as a return instead of just doing an exchange). Otherwise I'm pretty impressed with them, seem like nice pants. Also happy about the Linen-Cotton blend pants I got, they're pretty nice and will be a good summer pant.

I wanted to keep it, but that's what I get for eating too much ice cream. Here's a pic of a model wearing the belt.

How did you find they fit, I think someone here mentioned they are a full size too big? I suppose you don't want to look like you're wearing a tight BoO shirt during a beach walk on a hot day, but I don't want to be sporting an obnoxiously baggy shirt either.

Hopefully someone can answer this quick before I leave for work and place my order.

I'm gonna pick some stuff up for Fathers day and maybe sneak a shirt or two for myself to try off their online shop, for a regular crew neck should I go with a Small in their slim line or go regular crew shirt XS (I'm about an XS in Uniqlo). Also those Washed Oxford plain color shirts look good on sale, they recommendable?
