If You Folk could just get yourselves organized, you could hire yourselves out to designers who want to cripple their competition.

No you can keep that.

I was actually boycotting A&F because of their advertising and genius of selling clothes made with the cheapest possible fabric at outrageous prices.

However, I found a pair of wool plaid pants in a thrift store the other day that were A&F and really, really, well-made with a ton of attention to detail. Even my tailor was impressed. Did they formerly make top-notch apparel? Is this frayed $40 t-shirt thing a new direction of theirs?

IIRC they used to be sort of a gentleman's outdoor outfitter many moons ago...

My gf was defending their jeans earlier when I linked her the $400 ones. Obviously those are overpriced but.... When she shopped there when she was younger, she said their denim would hold it's color, fit, and shape regardless how many times you washed or dried it. The jeans you were wearing 4 years later would be just the same as the day you bought them. No excess holes and still fit great.

Yeah, but can you say the same thing about your girlfriend?

It's been just over a year but good call. Occasionally I have to drag her ass into the gym for "alterations".

EG has nothing to worry about. Unlike Burberry, TH, LV... the shoes have no visible logos or markings that would identify them as EG and are therefore devoid of any interest for those who wish to emulate rappers and their clothing choices.
