Ephemere by unibroue. Ale brewed with Apple juice, corriander, curaraco peel and natural flavors. If anyone but unibroue made it I would not have bought it. It tastes like a cider/ale hybrid. I approve.

Still getting over Saturday's Aztec debacle. We watched at my buddy's mancave. Commercial fridge filled w/ good stuff. Mainly concentrated on the Pliny and Green Flash. Both heavy hitters. Had a "68 fastback" to start (minced ginger muddled w/ brown sugar and splash of soda, Makers, soda water and squeeze of lemon on rocks). Damn tasty. He also had Trumer Pils and Anchor Steam on tap. The worse things got for SDSU, the more I drank! Hella' fine time, regardless.

Oh yea, at halftime, when the Aztecs were only down 3 and my light-one hadn't yet become full-on pollution, I had a nice glass of this neat. Can't say I've had any whiskey this old before. It was divine and went well with my Avo Heritage.

You have good friends.
Anyways. My drink

Weihenstephan Original- crisp, drinkable, understated brillance. It's everything you would expect fromm a brewery that will celebrate its 1000 anniversary in my lifetime.

Have a 10 page paper due in 11 hours. To help me through the night, I have my trusted friend, Cragganmore 12. Light in color, but strong in aroma.

To be honest, I am not sure. My buddy owns a few bars and is a huge whiskey/whisky head. He comes across epic **** all the time from various sources (distillers, friends, distributors, etc). He's more into scotch, but knows his bourbon and rye very well. Crazy motherfucker, but a loyal friend. I also tried some rare, individually numbered and unreleased Four Roses he had as well. Not in the same league as the 28yo Hirsch Select, but damn fine nonetheless.
