Trying something new tonight. Absolutely love the a'bunadh, so thought I'd give it a go (esp since it's a fair bit cheaper). Not too bad -- definitely a sherry bomb. That being said, I think I'd rather pay the extra for the a'bunadh. That might change deeper into the bottle though. :p

The wife and I paired it with some padron 1964 anniversaries to celebrate the end of a very long week. Swapping on over to cocktails now. :)

I made the SC grenadine recipe. Is that better? I also have some organic something brand grenadine in the fridge too but I figured it’d be more fun to make your own
Rose's is just....acceptable. probably too sweet. Won't ruin a drink but i dont know if it ever helps.

Testing out the new coupes from glasswing. Perfect fit. Empress 1908 also makes the loveliest aviation.

Sunday 26c. End of a very productive day gardening. The sun is over the yard arm. Hendrix’s, Fever Tree, Tonic and Cucumber.

Is the fever tree worth it? I see it and it looks delicious, but honestly most of the time I just mix a flavored seltzer with my gin (to save on calories) if I'm not making a cocktail.

I found it to be well worth it. A lot of small bars use either FT or CAPI tonic here.

I'll have to give it a go then.

Which Hendricks are you using? I found the midsummer solstice to be pretty amazing.
The standard version my son bought a liter bottle back from NZ in February.

Pre-filled photo from last night with an excellent Partagas Short. Glad to be done with the Rowan’s, though it worked fine in this particular drink, it’s ruined others. As someone mentioned before, it’s just not good anymore.

Yeah, I'm not too familiar with grenadine but I assume it isn't supposed to taste exactly like snow cone flavoring.

Painkiller tonight. How can someone not like the combo of pineapple and coconut?

I've found 2oz rum is enough for painkiller. Also look at swapping the OJ for Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaco.
