I was at my home cocktail bar last night and decided to try the branca menta highball. When I said "soda" the first time, he gave it to me mixed with the coke that comes in the glass bottle. Good but too sweet. Second time I said replace the coke with seltzer. He said "it's Gona be gross". It was delightful.

Glad he got it right eventually. I wish the Branca Menta wasn't so sweet, but it's still very enjoyable if deployed correctly.

Branca Menta is basically just Fernet Branca with mint syrup, so it's pretty easy to do yourself and adjust as you like.

I also had the opportunity to try some amaro di angostura. Surprisingly enjoyable, almost refreshing.

Picked up a little something on my way through Heathrow coming back to the US. Stuff is $200/bottle around here, was less than half that in the airport. Not a bad treat on the way home. It's a nice sherried dram. I like my sherried whiskey a little higher proof, but it's solid. Would have been rather upset at $200/bottle.

I hate to say this but I've limited myself to two glasses of wine a day two weeks ago today. I've only succumbed once on Friday for a manhattan.

Do You Consider Sustainability When Purchasing Clothes?

  • Always - Sustainability is a top priority in all my clothing purchases.

  • Often - I frequently consider sustainability, but it isn't the main factor in my decisions.

  • Rarely - I seldom consider sustainability when purchasing clothes.

  • Never - Sustainability is not a factor I consider in my clothing choices.
