Personally, I think this belongs in SW&D. I would have worn brown leather--less motorcyclist (doesn't work well out of context, IMO)--and better shoes. The jeans are too long (if one is, to get all MC). You, also, need a haircut--pretty badly. Hobo mits are a disturbing item of clothing.
(And for anyone who thinks I am being too harsh, this guy is a constant asshole to me (and others); I think me critiquing his fit is as kind-natured, as I can be.)

lol. trying to think of when i've been an asshole to you. or anyone, for that matter.

jacket is brown btw. jeans are generally denim, these are not denim, although i guess it's more of a jeans style cut than standard cord trousers.

Has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like Pete Campbell (Vincent Carthusier) from Mad Men? If I wasn't so crap at this sort of thing I'd do a side by side.

Nope, but I can, unfortunately, see that resemblance.
Too much breaking in the trousers for me. I also don't like the belt being a different color than the shoes.

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

I had thought that about the trousers also, but my fiance and Rick's said it was good, so I went with it. I'll get them shortened a bit.

I was planning to get a new belt this weekend. What do you think of something like: http://www.amazon.com/Erik-Blaire-M...8&qid=1341063650&sr=1-32&keywords=men's+belt? Seems light enough to fit well. Does that type of belt buckle look weird with an outfit like this?

Unfortunately? His character may be a douchebag but Pete has nailed some of the hottest women on that show...a couple models, a Gilmore girl, Peggy, the hot escort (ok maybe that isn't something to be proud of). Embrace it!

Hendrix an asshole? You are obviously mistaking him for someone else. He is one of the classiest posters on both sides of the forum

BB has ties much, much narrower than what you're wearing.

Agreed. Alot of the Black Fleece ties would work as well.
For dinner tonight, I'm wearing a NsM popover, another pair of Helmut Lang cotton shorts, a faded, unlined, unpadded, uncavassed Engineered Garments madras jacket, and brown Quoddy venetian loafers. No socks.
VOX channeling his inner SW&D

They have history.

These trousers are not too high, IMO, (where is your belly button? If there's less than a one inch gap between it and the trousers, too high! gdl203 just doesn't understand proportion, apparently), but they need to be hemmed, and an extra button needs, to be opened on that shirt! That is all...
Can you please stop giving people advice. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Oh, that! That's why?

It's not being an asshole. He doesn't know what he's talking about and it would be negligent to give him the false confidence of ambiguous silence.

Alex mate it might be better off to reserve your advice for after you've lurked a bit more.

I would just block him; his only contribution to the forum has been teaching us how a polo shouldn't fit.
