If I have to pick one of the three brands, I would choose Massimo Dutti over the other two. In my case, the ones from SuSu have deteriorated very soon... It is a pitty because they have a great fit and very nice colors.

Club Monaco or J crew. Massimo Dutti actually sells decent stuff as well. I have a pair of their slim fit chinos and they are a work horse. I wear them all the time get them dirty and they wash well. I only buy on sale as with most things :) I recommend them as well

I really like this thread, especially being able to see how other people's pants look.

I have a question about the break in most of you pants.

Do they look like that the entire time you're wearing them? I wanted mine made in a similar way, with virtually no break. However, they seem to slide down my hips a little and always end up having much more than I'd like. This is even with my belt tightened as comfortably as I can wear it.

Is it just the length of the leg that I should ask to be shortened, or is it possible the shape of the opening?

I remember when I was asking the tailor to alter my pants a little he advised against it because he said my socks would show. I wasn't sure if he meant while walking, sitting, or standing still, but is this such a bad thing anyway? I think it looks kind of weird when my leg looks "broken" in a picture, for instance.

Cox, that's just all over the place

I suppose my problem, most of the time, is that I don't really give a **** whether it's all over the place.

I just put stuff together and if I like it, I post it. Sometimes I get twenty thumbs, sometimes I get caned. I can never really tell which way it's going to go, no matter how much I read SF.

Not sure why this is.

I like mine with a very little break and I use braces with all my pants.. they hold them up no matter what you are doing..I hope this helps..
