Gents,

Which books should I look at for a brown (copper?) wool-silk-linen, roughly in this tone:

Drapers...that green wool/linen/silk jacket that NMWA did...there is an identical brown version of it...looks just like that. Can't remember the name of the book though.

Pretty sure it's Portofino. I thought it was a darker brown, but I'll double check.

Cheers.

Thanks, gents. I think the Smith Riband turned out really nicely. I was a little apprehensive about the small scale of the herringbone, but it's a beautiful fabric, and the visual texture is great.

I PM'd sacafotos, but I agree that he's probably looking for this from Drapers Seta e Lino (with credit to Greg/NMWA for the photos):

Yes, it's the Draper seta e lino. I just had the olive (2421) made up into a suit.

Be aware, it's only 7 1/2oz weight. Great for a Sydney midsummer. The pants might wear out quickly. I really should have had a second pair made.

Nope, worn out trousers are a sign to order your next suit. Sounds like a perfect cloth for Jakarta's climate too. Your suit looks great.

If you want matching cloth you want to get it now off the the same bolt. The coat will probably last at least two trousers, if not more. How long do coats last without linings? At least the sleeves have linings.

That stuff looks great, but iirc, it seemed too densely woven for hot, humid weather.
