Does Kemp and Hewitt sell directly to consumers or only "members of the trade"? I'm trying to find a place that sells italian jacketing fabrics direct (that don't go through an english merchant first!)

thanks!

Can anyone tell me where to find a nice dark brown jacketing fabric? It seems none of the well-known merchants offer anything in that shade.

Looking for a nice houndstooth or guncheck. Not a tweed, though. Anyone have an idea?

This one would be perfect:

These photos are taken in indirect but bright light, so the cloth probably reads significantly lighter than it really is.

Edit - Added closet photo for better idea of colour.

Thanks Penfold, just what I was looking for. Looks like a good, basic suiting.

Y William Yu. Cost was $9000 HKD, fully canvassed, three fittings though the last was really just collection. This was my second suit from YWY. I was better prepared to choose a good cloth and know more about the style, details and fit I wanted.

I am now trying GY and Chan to compare the difference. For what it is worth a 2 piece suit in this cloth at Chan is just over $15000.

Is Ho Sifu your coatmaker?
