Spring Ram has a hopsack or two, which breathe uncommonly well in spite of the listed weight.

Curious on a few fronts. Do y'all know which fabric (200g Italian silk...Zegna, maybe?) this is?

And, is a 100% silk suit intensely stupid? It's not dramatically far off weight wise from LP's 90/10 wool/silk. Obviously fabric makes a difference, and I'd assume silk would lean more "precious" than a wool dominant blend, but wondering if it could perform similarly. Imagine a silk suit would make for a very fun/very slutty suit for summer gatherings.

This offering would be a nonstarter (I'm about a 60 in Mashburn sizing, and the mere thought of trying to make those intensely oversized trousers fit is hilarious), but the idea of a silk suit intrigues.

I want to have a linen suit made (MTM - I want it soon). From everything I've read, Solbiati Art du Lin seems like the right choice and I'm looking at midnight blue, tan linen, or beige. Is there a way to get swatches mailed or any other way to feel the swatches?

I would be either zegna (tessuti novara mill), scabal, dormeuil or loro piana at that weight.

I like silk suits..they are fun but like mohair and acquired taste. My tailor reckons it looks like cat scatches with the slubbiness.

Here's my silk suit from Suitsupply years ago. Cloth is from Zenga (Tessuti Novara).

I absolutely loved it. The subtle olive green, the very slightest of luster in certain lighting but still matte enough to wear daily, and the way it drapes is just out of this world compared to my other wool suits in similar weight. Unfortuantely I decided to let this one go as I have moved away from wearing slim trousers...

It pains me that I am not able to find this cloth again to make bespoke. If anyone knows where this cloth exists please please please let me know! :brick:

I love silk suits and jackets.

I had a jacket made of 100% silk from Loro Piana's 'Mare' bunch in champagne. It's totally not breathable and definitely an acquired taste, but I love it regardless how little I get to wear it.

That's a beautiful jacket. I'm tempted to get a sport coat in cream/ivory/off-white for my second non-navy summer jacket. Probably would look at wool/silk/linen fabrics, but in a color similar to this jacket of yours.
