New fox limited drop worsted faux tweed gunclub

I always struggle with trouser color with these gunclub checks. This is a beauty

That Fox gunclub's light grey seems to be reading very warm, almost pink-hued on my screen.

I wonder if wearing it with colder toned fabrics (certain olive/navy/mid grey) would emphasize that further

Mid grey is always the answer.

After that, light grey.

I have two pair of “fawn” flannels that complement just about any similar sport coat.

The best choice would be to pick a colour matching one of the three present in the gunclub checks, possibly in a slightly different shade, but I agree that a (mid) grey would be a nice combination.

I have seen similar comments about this cloth:

I have a sport coat in this cloth (the Fox air one), and verify there are no pink undertones. I think it might just the way Fox has their product photos set up. I would bet the new gun club is slightly cooler IRL than the pics. They offer free swatches if there’s concern.

Don't know, the colours called slate (in the new cloth) and grey (in your example) look more beige or greige to me. The best combination on the new Gunclub Check would be with olive trousers, but even a sage tone could look appropriate. Moreover, also a Prussian or an air force blue would be good choices in my opinion, besides the safe mid grey.

With a name like “baboo” that tweed better be 🔥🔥🔥. The name is way to legendary to mid.
Maybe that’s why I thought it was supposed to be good. From Alden’s original description, it was a heavyweight tweed (600g+). I asked on LL and Alden said they were thinking of doing a tweed in honor of king charles.
