Wasn't aware that London was opening a NYC location. I have purchased all my watches through them.

The salespeople I met from London were actually into watches, and very personable. Which is much more than I can say about the average salesperson.

Wow that Snoopy is awesome!

The Aquanaut is one of my grails I would love to add some day. Wonder how it would look on leather.

Not bad, there's at least one member on TRF who's done it, but for me the rubber strap for this one is such an integral part of the whole package I see no reason to do it.

Gents,

A while back I asked for some suggestions on watches that would help commemorate a big shift in my career. I got some great suggestions from VC, PP, AP and ALS. I finally decided on one to go forward with and will be picking it up in the middle of January in NYC. I've been too excited to wait to have it in hand before dropping this teaser.

Thanks for all the help, you guys were tremendous enablers!

I agree. Funny thing, years ago when rubber straps first began to appear on high end sport watches I thought it somewhat incongruous and wasn't a big fan. Now I've come to see them as a viable option for more and more watches.

Thanks! Friends who searched on the eBays of this world mentioned that the asking was USD18K. I think that's way too much, even despite the hype and such. It's certainly not easy to come by, though the preordered units have been trickling in.

The thing I like most about this is that it's just a ton of fun. There's certainly value in beautiful movements, rare dials, etc etc, but stopping just to have fun with a watch is so cool to me.

That's exactly why it appealed to me - aside from the Speedy + Snoopy's history together and all. It's a TON OF FUN watch.
