^ the cut out dial is cool. It reminds me a little of the dials of Cartier's Fine Watchmaking Collection. Congrats and enjoy.

Dino1944 - do you have a preference of one model over the other?
I presume you mean the Submariner models (I mentioned at the top of the page). I like differnet things about each. The bracelet and clasp is better on the new model (solid links) and the ceramic bezel is highly scratch resistant. However, there is a charm about the case of the previous model and its more classic tapered lugs, and I still like the old anodized aluminum bezels (which are much less expensive to replace than the new ceramic inserts). I have a 16610 LV (green bezel Sub with black dial) and I really like it alot. You just need to try them on and see which one really makes you smile.

If you are speaking of the Cartier Fine Watchmaking Collection, I really like the Santos Dumont Squelette. A very cool and modern version of a skeleton.

beautiful. for a more casual fit, wear a leather or beaded bracelet, and ship the watch to me.

I meant something more along the lines of switching out the blue croc for brown :)

Should make it a touch more casual.

Alligator is not that casual. Rubber or perforated calf strap would be for this watch. I don't think a nato or canvas strap would work well.

I get what you are saying, but this is a 21mm wide lug, and I would not dream of wearing it with a rubber strap. Calf isn't such a bad suggestion though.

Planning on it. It's a great looking combination that's for sure.

In fact I think it's much better than with the blue strap.
