I agree. It is a shame that the 99.2 is such an increase--although 2k more. Might as well spring for the regulateur at that point.

I thought the 99.1 in steel was like $28XX? I swore I saw that price before watchbuys closed off their site to only N. America in the last year... I've seen the price list in Euros and the rose gold was like 59XX Euros too, I just wanted to know what the price in dollars was gonna be since I'd buy it over there...

with a 10000-15000 budget, i am also considering IWC Portuguese automatic 7 days. Any other brands/models that in worth considering?

You can get a 7-day for less than 10k. I still have a hard-on for the Glashutte Panomatic Lunar. ******* WANT that watch.

It is posts like that that make me wonder how one can choose anything other than a dornblueth. The one thing I worry aboutthem too is that they are just a family business, you never know how much longer the company may last. Makes one really want to order when he still can

no offense but there are plenty of movements out there besides dornbluth that are beautiful as well. many imo are far more beautiful and complex. here are some. i could list more but i think this will convey my opinion well enough.

In no way am I saying that Dornblueth's movements compare to Lange's, GO's, or AP's--but at the five thousand dollar price point, I think that they have the best decorated movements. Sorry if my original post was unclear. And for some additional pr0n:

that makes a lot more sense, but there are some JLCs, IWCs, and others right in that range, maybe a tad higher that have beautiful movements as well. but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

again, no offene meant. :)
