Guess I was thinking of something else. Could have sworn IWI's were around 1200 but this one is only 300 (found after quick search)

You were thinking of RXW Marina Militares, the no longer produced (intellectual property won for once!) PAM homage. Incidentally, they originally retailed around $300 as well, albeit that was 6, 7 years ago.

You are right. I saw one the other day and I'm always curious of the homages as I have two (PAM 270 and 243 submersible) real ones with the 270 gone pending payment.

You can get a marine diver for $500? They are ok but too close to the Marine Militares or whatever and those are as cheap (POS) of a watch as you can get.

POS compared to what? The IWI's use sapphire front and back, a decorated Unites movement, I had one for awhile and the quality was amazing for $300. It's a simple watch, not much can go wrong otherwise [IMG]

Reread my post...I'm meaning that the marine militares are the cheap POS's

what do you mean by decently priced? There's an extremely wide range of prices on watch straps

For $500 if I had one watch I'd go for the Seiko Sumo. The quality in comparison to the price with this watch is unbeatable. It is 44mm which is a common size for some Panerai. Pic (actual watch comes on very nice bracelet and not this strap) and then link to buy.

I've got an old Wittnauer that's been at Central Watch Band in Grand Central Terminal for what has to be 9 months now with little to no progress (though it's been a while since I've checked). If you guys are getting watches restored in New York, can you fill me in on where? Many thanks.

Why is it that every time I go to get the IWC BP 5004-01 I walk away with another watch?

A few months ago I was on my way & came home with a PAM233J..

Today I came home home with the Rolex green Sub! This was very unexpected but I was lucky as this BNIB Z series had the planner inner rehault ring before they ROLEXROLEXROLEX engraved!

Well, the bracelet will make it for good wearing in the Singaporean humidity..

Yeah the owner says that the ploprof version (real name is the LM-7 for this company) is going to have a high number sold as the cost to make them was very high and the #'s have to be up to make money. I like it just because I really like tool watches. If the guy responds to me I'll buy the LM-1 and hint to my fiance to cover the rest of the cost of the LM-7 for my Christmas present. The movement is a modified swiss eta 2824-2. Here's the link and NO this is not how much it costs (it is MUCH cheaper than the price on the page) this website is not supposed to be out yet and it does not really work (you can add to the cart and try to buy but it won't work). http://www.ocean7watchco.com/cs1/ind...&product_id=17

I have the LM-1 and think it is a great watch for a tool diver. There are two of them for sale on Watchuseek's sales forum. If you can pull off both with your fiance buying you one for Christmas go for it.

    Here is mine.

I am on the fence on the LM-7. I found the forum after the pre-sale closed. At $849 (or so) pre-sale pice it is an oustanding deal. The retail price of $1199 is still very good for a 1000m diver packed with lot's of goodies and iconic style. Too many watches not enough money. [IMG]

I see from the sneak peak of the new website that there will not be a three day full refund period on this model. I guess it makes sense as a lot of people will want to test drive this one. I was actually thinking of it myself. BTW: How did you get the link to the website?

Yeah 849 is a ridiculously good price for all that went into the LM-7. The website link is on their facebook page. TBH I have no clue why they didn't want the website to get out. It is nicely done for a small watch company and I'd want my customers to see it even if it isn't in working order. I saw the one LM-1 on wus and will go look for the other one. Thanks

edit: I think I'm going to buy the #15 one off of WUS. The original purchase fell through

My choice is the JLC Master Control Geographic. Thinking about getting a brown croc strap for it, what do you think (I use mainly brown shoes/belts)?

Luke (snoballz) seems like a good guy. I have communicated with him on several occasions and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him.

Has he responded to your offer?
