I really shouldn’t have waited for the sale on the chenille quarter zip - looks like it’s sold out in most sizes now.

If anyone has one in size 40 they want to sell I’ll buy it.

Hi Gerry, you seem to be pretty familiar with Drake's stuff so I would like to raise a question to you (of course anybody could partecipate and help me). I have only shirts (and few ties) from Drake's and I wear 16. I would like to buy a jacket/suit from them. Based on your experience should I go for a 38 or 40?

I would say definitely go for a 40. I wear a size 15.5 on their slim fit oxfords and 15 on their regular fit. For sweaters I went for a 38 and for their overshirts a size Small. All fit well. I have a blazer in size 38 that fits well so

I wear a 16 shirt and a 40 jacket/suit in Drake's so it might be the same for you.

What size chest do you have? That is going to give you the best indicator for what size jacket to take.

I know guys with a 16 neck that are slimmer in the chest/body and wear a 38 jacket/suit, and guys that are larger with same size neck that wear 42.....

FWIW, I find Drakes tailoring (suits, sport coats, trousers) to fit pretty true to size, not too slim, not boxy. Just go with your measured chest size.
