That’s backwards. It runs a half size BIGGER so you take a half size smaller than your F size. That’s just general advice. I actually take a full size smaller for P2.

They are very different, both high instep, though. F has a more tapered toebox (though still not symmetrical). P2 has a more natural, longer big toe. More ergonomic, in my opinion.

Sorry that was what I originally meant, sorry for the confusion.

F is narrower that P2, even in the F (wide) fitting, and longer in the toe. Whether a change in size will solve your problem is another question. If the footbed of the adjusted size grabs your arch in the wrong way, you'll be unable to walk.

Below is Vass boot F last size 44.5 and John Lobb oxford 7000 last size UK 10. Please note that both are wide fitting.
As you can see lengthwise both shoes are very close, both in heel to toe measure and in overall length.
Both are also roomy at the instep. F last May have slightly more room in the toebox vertically and laterally.
Adding the caveat that once again these are wide fittings and not exactly what you would experience at normal width, I would say that you could feel reasonably confident that F will fit you if 7000 does.

Recently made it to Budapest to find out no RTW last fit. Ended up having a plum/burgundy museum calf derby on an MTM last. Before determining that no RTW last fit I purchased the following shoe: a London 3 derby eyelet in burgundy museum calf. It is size 42 on the F last, and comes with Vass shoe trees and a vass box which is not in mint condition. I would like to sell the shoe to recoup some of the cost of the MTM shoe that was 720 euros, or about 830 dollars. If you are interested in purchasing them please message me. Thank you.

Gosh these are absolutely gorgeous, I have a pair of Vass wholecuts in the same colour. Just a pity I'm a size 44.

Truly appreciate all the details you provided!

To me, 7000 in regular width is just a tiny bit too tight after stretching, slightly uncomfortable after whole day of wearing.
I guess there's still some risk that regular width in F last may not fit me.. Probably should wait for a F width (was asking this since I saw some good deals online, but on the regular width.)

One more question, have anyone compare the difference between different model on the same last. In specific, I am trying to understand if derby and oxford in F last fit differently.

Thank you,
Encore
Yes. Same goes for a multilayered budapest pattern vs clean single layer derby, and shoe vs short boot vs long boot.
You might use the same size, but as the fit can/will feel different.
