Well, I wouldn't have bought it had it been expensive. And I agree in general about the internet versus dictionaries and encyclopedias. However, I think the OED is different than any other reference work, plus to gain access to the OED online you have to subscribe. I figured it wouldn't hurt to have this around for the price.

whats the problem with this? if you like the garment and can get rid of the "thrift store smell" then what's the issue? this thread is all about folks who find great wearable stuff at thrift stores. you probably won't find much sympathy here.
Well, I just hate the smell. So that why I am asking if I can get rid of that smell. I like the item though, but if it's too troublesome, I will just get rid of it.

+100 If you dont want your stuff to smell just wash it or pay 90% over what you would pay on ebay (retail).
