Can I ask ... is the name taken from Avon Barksdale's quote from Season 3 of The Wire?

"I'm bleedin' red and you bleedin' green. I look at you these days, String, you know what I see? I see a man without a country. Not hard enough for this right here and maybe, just maybe, not smart enough for them out there..."

The line is inspired by 1890's "Black Gold"-era workers that chased their dreams independently: men without a country.

LA guy claimed Jean Shop wasn't anything special over at sufu, still don't know what changed his opinion.

I prefer to assume it's inspired by Avon Barksdale. And I'm buying a pair.

Yeah, that post was done ages ago. In case you didn't notice, that was also around the time he wore Von Dutch jeans. So your point is...?

so did MWaC agree to sponsoring a contest for these jawns?

i have way too many jeans anyway and can never win as all i do is sit on my bum but it would be interesting to see peeps' progression on these things. i gave up on my SExDBxS09. i only wear my CvsF now. but i can and will have to add these MWaC into my rotation

possibly start Dec 1st or something to give everyone time to kop them?
