Starting to think about Spring and Summer additions. Joyce is one of the brands I discovered through DWW but unfortunately never had the chance to purchase anything more than a lab coat before they shut things down. Derek, are you aware if the folks behind Joyce started anything new?

I saw they shut down, but haven't heard of any new projects. I haven't heard from them since they shut down Joyce, however, so I may just be out of the loop.

Im thinking about a two piece in the Zegna 75113 (grey ish brown) next fall.

FWIW, George tells me that suit was made for a customer, and he thinks it might be Solbiati's corduroy. Looking at their Winter Cotton book, I think maybe it's S07036

The Zegna Cashco looks nice too, however. I'm thinking about getting the same thing.

Man, the unthinkable just happened. I found a rather pronounced crack in the leather of my Paraboot Michaels. And I who thought they were indestructible. I have been wearing them plenty hard this winter, though, with no conditioning for about four months. So there you go... Condition your shoes, men!

Just picked up a first pair of Gurkha trousers to give them a try. I'm trying Rubinacci's Manny version which are double forward pleated.

This leaves quite a bit of fabric in the front crotch which gets all rumpled. This is partly the double pleats in a RTW pair but also, I think partly the Gurkha belting system which, since I have to cinch them a little pull the hips in.

The photos of variations I find on the internet are mostly the same in terms of the front with forward pleats (most people seem to have their hands in the pocket in various shots so hard to see how the fabric drapes).

I guess that's often the vibe? Comfy, expansive, casual?

Yikes - I have worn the same Thuya for 4 or 5 years and never condition them.

Any anti-enabler & pro-enabler critiques on having too many coats in a wardrobe?

My coat wardrobe looks like this:

-Light Grey PoW check Bal for cold winter, roomy
-Mid-grey melton peacoat for cold winter, trim
-Mid-brown ulster/polo tweed coat for mild winter, very trim
-Grey patchwork Bal for fall/spring, roomy

I found another vintage Bal in mottled charcoal that is awfully tempting me right now.

Is this all your outerwear or just wool coats?

Excluding hunting and fishing outerwear, I probably have 25-30 coats.

Treat them like socks ... you can't have too many.

Yeah, my Paraboot Reims have been worn hard for four years without any problems.

My Michaels are only a year and a half. I guess it wouldn't be appropriate to file a complaint?
