I liked the vibrant colours in that place, @sugarbutch . It made me think of the one major issue I have with so many of the houses we see displayed as aspirational architectural models of home design - and I mean here those trying to separate themselves from mass popular taste - which is that they are often so colourless. David Bachelor wrote a really interesting book about this a few years back, called Chromophobia. I've visited this place, Hundertwasser's Waldspirale, in Darmstadt, Germany, which is amazing, but may be going a bit too far in that direction...
What might be the most amazing thing of all about this building is that it is public housing...
I 'like' that public housing in Germany has a vague reminiscence of a fucking Bilujistan or Limpopo. Way to go Europe. Make our World the third World!
