Try different model. Napoli is the model with most room around shoulders and chest. Try models like Washington, Lazio, or even Sienna. Those models have narrower shoulders and tighter fit than the Napoli.

Anyway, for conservative business dress the suit fits you good. A good tailor can fix that back quite easily. There's no big intervention required to clean your back. It happens to me also, and my tailor takes care of it.

Agreed.

Since Lazio is similar in measurements from the chest down to Napoli, I think the narrower shoulders on Lazio might fit better.

I've dealt with few different tailors in the past and getting back alterations properly done was luck of draw, imo. This one tailor so called a 'master tailor' really screwed up my Borrelli suit which required back alterations. Prior to that, the same tailor fixed my Isaia suit which needed similar back alterations as the Borrelli suit did and to this date, that Isaia suit fit me the best ...

I sure hope they have some sort of plan to include the UK in their European outlet sales though, as well as fixing our prices, we have to pay £300 for the same suit they pay 300 Euros for (At full price).

300 Euros = £240

Tempted to see if there's potential for arbitrage here. Whilst a suit box is large, I can imagine you could get a proxy to forward to London for ~£20... Any Netherlands SF users wanna chime in on the possibility of setting up a proxy?

I wonder if the local London SuitSupply stores would be willing to process a return from a proxied order, just in case the suit isn't quite right.

I'll have to ask them next time I visit one of their stores.

Does anyone have some inside info on when there might be some new stuff on their website? F/W collection is pretty lackluster so far, especially in the sport coat department. I'd like to see some greys in tweed or some kind of check, especially in the Hudson fit.

End of the month there will be added stuff. Mid October the Jort collection is released.

Hey guys!

Was wondering about SS odd jackets - what would you say is the "roomiest" model available?

I have 2 Havana jackets, and while I love them, they seem a bit tight, especially in the arms.

I also have several SS suits, of which my favorite is the York - its by far the most comfortable and provides enough room in the chest and arms.

Thanks

Emailed SS if we'll see any more Mercer items this season, can confirm the word from their info is that there won't be any. A shame, but hopefully we'll see an expanded line for SS15. I'm personally hoping for an 4-season fabric Mercer in navy.

Thanks for the info, even if it kinda sucks. How about restocks of the one suit they have? One-off, or will they keep stocking it? If you know.

I just packaged up the blue Lazio suit before remembering to take pictures compared to the navy. Sorry about that. Unfortunately I have discovered for a Lazio I need a 39R. I wish I could understand why the long version of some of these cuts are even slimmer thru the body. If you are taller you are automatically thinner? So that means I can't wear Sienna or Havana either as the sizing is the same. Not happy with that. If they would switch to mix-and-match sizes I could make it work, but alas, no bueno. I is sadface.

I'm afraid it won't be that simple.

If I size up on Havana, the shoulders will not fit anymore.

You may still want to try. I have a 38 and 40 in the Havana jacket and the shoulders are not largely different. However, the 38 is definitely snugger. If you don't feel your existing size is snug in the shoulders then yes the larger size may not work. But maybe you'll get lucky.

On the topic of the Lazio, I am now understanding everyone's beef with the sleeve length. I felt like the two sizes I tried had the sleeve length was for one size smaller.

Does anyone know how much seam allowance is generally in the waist of a suitsupply jacket? (Particularly the Napoli)? I need about 0.8-1" let out around the buttoning point.

Thanks.
