It’s very hard to judge, to be honest with you. I feel like the Washington jacket lends itself to a more formal look, and you would be better off wearing a tie and definitely the trousers that you would wear with this suit for anyone to give you any sort of opinion, but it would also be ideal to see you full length including the feet. I feel like the jacket length may be just a tiny bit (0.25 inches?) too long, but very forgivable. The shoulder area looks very structured because of all that Washington padding. And what did they do with the Washington lapels? They used to be peak. Where is the ticket pocket? Honestly, I give up on their fit changes.

But, again, can we talk about your beard hair follicles? I cannot get over how full it looks even at this short length. Did you start shaving at 12?

If you take a look at the website and filter by Washington, you'll see that they have released a couple of models of Washington with no ticket pocket and Notch lapels. Interestingly, the gorge height of the lapels is a little lower than the Lazio; kinda goes with the lower button stance and longer jacket length in a sense.

It seems they have these "exceptions" in all their fits - e.g. Washington with notch lapel, Havana with flap pockets, Havana with pleated shoulders, etc.

And on the beard - hahaha and thank you! The facial hair genes attacked me pretty young. Wasn't shaving at 12 but if memory serves me right I probably could have started then!

The Full Canvas Washingtons have notch lapels :)

I think it looks great, including the length! I also plan to try the Washington again when getting my next "formal" suit but I already wonder if I'll ever get used to the structured shoulders again after so many years with a much softer shoulder.

Agreed, I go back and forth so much on the shoulder structuring. Sometimes I consider myself a Havana person, then I like the look of the Washington structure, then I find the Lazio light padding strikes the perfect balance....it's all so subjective and I can never seem to make up my mind :)

Interesting so they have been expanding the line. Still, my least favorite fit after the Napoli

Your fit guide article was very helpful to me when I was getting into SS. What are your favorite fits? I also dislike the Napoli (which is probably to be expected for a tall slim guy - the slimmer the better for me on fits)

Havana and la spalla. Jort is great too but all leave things to be desired with button stance and low rise pants.

Hi everyone!

I have been following the thread for a while now and decided to give a try for a new suit from SuitSupply.
Before I place an order, I wanted to ask for some advice regarding sizing. Unfortunately, I can't find any
product measurements on the website anymore (I hope they will be added back again soon).

Can you guys recommend me a size for the Lazio and Washington models based on my body measures?
I will most likely have a different size for the jacket and trousers (the latter eventually a size bigger!?)

Thanks in advance!

height: 5'10" (178cm)
weight: 154 lbs (70kg)

chest: 37" (94cm)
upper waist: 33.1" (84cm)
back length: 29.5" (75cm)
shoulder: 17.3" (44cm)
sleeve (till wrist knuckle): ~24" (61cm)

waist: 33.5" (85cm)
hips: 37.8" (96cm)

build: average / athletic

Weird: I don’t see product measurements anymore, either. On the page for the suit you like, click on Select Size, and then you’ll see a Size Chart button at the bottom of the screen. It gives body measurements only, though

It seems like people have a love/hate relationship with the washington fit. I'm personally a big fan of the fit and silhouette so I went ahead and constructed a custom made a month ago. Also constructed a custom made from scratch in a navy birdseye traveller fabric.

When it comes to the length of the washington jackets, I feel like they're supposed to be a more formal/structured look so I'm okay with the slightly longer length. The navy birdseye traveller is a tad shorter in length and it does cover my seat, but I will be returning it because I think the washington fits better overall.

Have you tried using suitsupply's own fit finder algorithm?
