Since the very beginning, Saint Crispin's catalog widths have been specified as E1/2, F1/2, G1/2, H1/2 etc. On the shoes (soles, tongues & trees), these width letters are simply abbreviated as E, F, G, H etc.. There are no such thing as in-between-half widths. I.e. F1/2 = F when we speak StC. Confusing to the novice, for sure.

Interesting to note. Thanks.

Resole job of StC. I took a picture at recent trunk show. I remember Phillip told me this is the third resole.

SC resole is $250. Re-lasting (not necessary unless you want to change sizes) is another $250.

Pretty reasonable, not bad actually. Asked above, but do you have an idea as to how long the turn around time is?

How long have you had them? and how often have they been worn? I am curious what the duration has been to get to a 3rd resole

So far mine have been lasting a year before resole. One goes out and another comes in.

Hi. The shoes are not mine actually. I was told the pair was 12 year old.

I seem to recall that you walk quite a bit, but how many pairs of shoes are you wearing in regular rotation?  A year seems quick to me, but then my usage may differ significantly from yours.

About seven pairs in rotation. Down a bit from what it used to be. But yeah, I walk a lot. At least a mile a day on pavement.

The actual turnaround time for my order was about 8 weeks,

It has varied for me. Once I got them back in 5 weeks, Che @Leffot just sent me an email minutes ago saying another pair is in and this took probably 8 or 9 weeks. I guess it depends on the time of year too. I would imagine summer vacation has an effect. Now, I have to drop off another pair that is getting a hole when I pick these up...

I am quite surprised that you think a mile per day (on the streets) is a lot. My New York definition for "a lot" is much more than that.

I was comparing to people that live, like, not in New York. Like I said "at least". I probably do about 3 on average a day.
