Ha...I do not live by the SF group-think in all things. I can appreciate these for what they are.

I appreciate the construction, leather and color. The shape...well, :) But if they make you happy, thats all that counts.

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask this, but I've found a pair of vintage shell cordovan Imperial Longwings for $150. Do you think they're in good condition and are they worth it?

A while back I discussed with Chay of Alfred Sargent a custom medallion on a pair of black cap toes. I wanted to take a pair of shoes that are a staple in any man's wardrobe and make them completely unique. Chay worked to get the medallion correct and then to make the shoes exactly as specified. I think the result is perfect and I am happy to share them here.

It is neither sheep head nor bull. It is a boar's head. It is a family symbol and has great meaning to me. Chay worked quite hard to duplicate it and I think he did a splendid job.

The bulled polish on the caps have made this difficult to photograph properly so I am adding one that Chay sent during the making of the shoes. I would be remiss if I didn't show the underside of the shoes as Chay puts as much time and energy into shaping the waist and heel of the shoe as he did in replicating the medallion for me.
