Today is Victoria Secret Sexy for Men. Trying to use it up as fast as I can...probably going to get a bottle of D-squared.

What's YS7? Do you mean M7?

I dug out a forgotten decant today - Serge Lutens Encens et Lavande. I have such a small decant that I've rarely worn this but it's really great. I wish I'd bought a bottle when I was in Paris last summer (along with Sarasins and a few others.)

Michael Kors Men for me today... unlike Michael Kors men's fashion, which tends to be bland and lackluster, this one is surprisingly interesting. Boozy, sort of dark, and quite powerful with lots of sillage.

Not something that will stop traffic, but a nice, safe option for a "manly" fragrance that is neither too sweet/clean or too spicey/funky.

After the wonder that was Kama (would have ordered already were it not so damn expensive), I took a second spin through the sample bag and pulled out Ava-Luxe Film Noir. It's supposed to be a suede/leather scent. It isn't, or maybe it is in a sort of decaying-fruit, camphoraceous, new biker leather, which if you hadn't guessed already - isn't quite what I'm looking for.

Good Morning everyone,
I am new to the forums so forgive my ignorance on alot of these subjects. I was actually reading some of the earlier posts on fragrances and have been trying to no avail to find the Angel Pure Coffee scent..they say it was limited but DAMN...it's untraceable now. I never realized that one could use different types of scents based on the day/weather/etc so now I am trying to see what would be good for a young man like myself..24 years..don't really like heavy scents (like alot of the older women wear) but something light enough that if I walked passed a light scent would trail. Currently I have in my arsenal...Givenchy the original and the new neo, a little bit of rugby polo that comes in a tiny green bottle that i've had since I was 16, Dunhill in the red bottle, and polo black (a bit stronger I was daring to be different). Any suggestions?

GB Grey Flannel. I just cannot get enough of classic, gentlemanly-smelling fougeres.

gotju,

If you want light-ish scents, you might take a look at Dior Eau Sauvage, and maybe Platinum Egosite, or maybe Herrera for Men. I think you can find them at your local Sephora. Also try Guerlain Vetiver (any vetiver for that matter). For this season, take a look at John Varvatos or seek out a sample of Chanel Pour Monsieur.

Kama or L'Air de Rien?

L'Air de Rien seems to be well-liked, and Kama is given as a close cousin, a hybrid of LAdR and SL Musc Kublai Khan. Kama is told to be a good deal less-expensive than L'Air, but once you factor in bottle size, they're not that far off, and both are in EdP.

Anyone have experience with L'Air and think highly of it?

BTW...Film Noir is slowly becoming presentable. It's also fading. Wonder if one has to do with the other.

okay, Film Noir is coming around and getting quite good. What, six hours after application? Not bad, and a bit less expensive than Kama.
