It was crisp today, so I wore Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui. I become an incense stick with this stuff if I get hot.

Hello,
I've been reading the forums for a month or so, but haven't posted. I'd like to pick up a new cologne for the Spring. However, as I am in New Orleans it will be getting colder before it gets warmer. So I suppose I would like a both new cold and warm weather scents. I don't have to be cheap, but I think a nice entry level fragrance would be alright. I'm looking to spend 50 or 60 dollars each. Currently I have VS Verry Sexxy II, Guess Suede, Armani Code and di Gio(of course lol), Burberry Brit and London. I won't be in the market for anything on the level of a Creed, but I would like something perhaps a little more distinctive than what I have.

^Hi Herbert,

Have you given "Gucci Pour Homme II" a sniff? It's clean and fresh, but also deeper than most designer fragrances. I find it is good in cool or warm weather. Maybe a little too heavy for the dead heat of summer, but easily a 3.5 season fragrance. Give it a try as it is available at most major department stores.

Prada Infusion d'iris Homme would be another. Good luck!

My SOTD today is Royall Lyme Muske. Found it for $8 and am finding it to be a nice, friendly musk, but with a hint of kick. Quite nice!

Just received my bottle of LV Vetiver from a Basenoter, so that was my SOTD.

Today: after an industrious weekend away from technology in general, I opted for Bel Ami.

Today: A lilberal spritzing of MPG Ambre Precieux. I might have to get a bottle of this when the decant runs out.

Today: Robert Piguet Bandit. I keep thinking I should wear this one and never get to it, so today I did. For some reason it reminds me of a colder, floral Antaeus.

Too cold even to think much about fragrances... so Shalimar got the vote by default.
