huh, from what i've come across it would seem propylene glycol is pretty safe, just a lipophilic solvent that doesn't present much health risk below really high dose taken in rapidly.
probably not good for dumping by the millions of gallons but that's another story ...
Yeah marketing's usually able to keep safety lies going for a few decades. Asbestos, lead paint/water pipes, and cigarettes being good historical examples.
I'd love to see any clinical evidence of PG causing cancer, considering that they've been using it in prescription asthma inhalers and hospital misters since the '50's.
