I bought a pair of Harcourt loafers and unfortunately the size isn't working out.

The problem is at the big toe, which tends to get uncomfortably tight particularly as the day goes on and my feel swell.

Can a cobbler do anything about this? Cos I heard the shoe can't really be lengthened. Might need to put them up for sale.

I just took advantage of Bodiley's "one off" sales event. Probably less than 1 in a 100 that your desired shoe in your size in on sale. I'm ready to enter the lottery!

Can anyone comment on the heel hold of the Boston (314 last) and the Harvard 2 (376 last) in suede compared to Alden’s LHS Van last (also suede)? I have read that the toe box is slightly more narrow on the C&Js compared to the Alden. Any preference between the Boston (lined, leather sole) and Harvard 2 (unlined, city sole)?

A shoe stretcher can help. This cyborg looking thing solved several sizing issues for me.
