When I young and I bought shoes with all-leather heels, I went to the cobbler who installed v-cleats by cutting a pie-shaped wedge into the first layer of the heel and nailed or screwed in a metal wedge, and all for about $1 (about 1964-1966) Can I get this done today, or do they only deal in the overlaid, not inlaid, plastic heel plates. If so, please update me on the current charge. Thanks much Nick!
