The literal definition of asshole design. No one wants to spend time going through 10-15 questions only to be forced into creating an account to get the answers. Ugh.
If you were going to buy you’d have to create an account anyway... otherwise you’re just using their algorithm for other brands, I don’t see the issue.

How is creating an account difficult?

Also, who’s purchased a mask? I’m really liking the chambray offerings. Hoping for seersucker next!

Their algorithm gives you a recommended size in Proper Cloth's own jacket fits. It doesn't give you measurements (which I already have) or a size guide for garments from other brands (which anyone who has even been to a menswear shop will have at least a rough idea of)

It's a ******, misleading design that should state from the outset that an account is required unless the goal is to be the Pinterest of online clothing.

What are you hoping to be able to do? I just went to their site with a private browser window and poked around. There's was no need to create an account until I asked them to take steps that would be useful only for getting a custom shirt . Which, of course, you would need an account for. As you said yourself, the site isn't offering measurements or generic sizes.

I do UX writing and UX design and information architecture professionally. I'm highly allergic to site designs that feel manipulative or misleading. But I really can't find a problem of this nature on PC's site. What exactly did you think they were suggesting and not delivering on?

I had some masks arrive two days ago. My wife has purchased cloth masks from at least a half dozen sources at this point and the PC masks are the best fitting ones that have arrived by far. It's a really good, comfortable fit. She liked the fit of the small so much that she ordered 3 more.

I figured the question wouldn't convey well. Basically, an option like (well, similar) to the below would be awesome, from my perspective.
