Shoes-wise, what do you think of the ones at the top of this post? For the half-tuck, would I actually tuck in the front of the sweatshirt, or just kind of let it bunch up above the belt? I guess it'd be easier to pull off that look with knits whose hems aren't ribbed, but I'll certainly give it a try. Would having the whole thing hemmed so that it hits mid-belt all around make the half-tuck look less drastic?

Anyway, I sincerely appreciate the nonchalance comment, especially coming from you.

You're welcome. I've only messed around with the look a couple of times myself and it really isn't for everyone. It is indeed better with unribbed hems and just bunching up a little around the belt buckle and/or belt "tongue" and falling about everywhere else. This is where the nonchalance factor should come in, where the idea is to look slightly dishevelled without "shouting" it, as it were. I only suggested it in case you took the previous poster's torso criticism to heart - there really isn't anything wrong with the area as presented in your photo. If you do it and decide it looks goofy, don't do it - it won't be a loss to you at all

When you experiment more, you could perhaps try belts in different colours other than black and brown, though the idea there is that they match or harmonise with a different item like your shirt/sweater rathe than your shoes. I have a friend who wears a white belt with white shirts and jackets and a yellow belt with a yellow v-neck. Not saying you should seek out such bright colours, but for fun experimentation, you can consider something along those lines

I wear similar shoes to the ones you posted. I like them and they should easily integrate into your look

Threw this **** out real quick, somewhere between Wes Anderson and something I'd actually call a decent fit. On the way to the Las Olas art show...

Thanks. I don't tuck in the back. Just let it all hang out.

AndrewRyanWallace, what brand is that t-shirt? I like the thin stitching on the neck.

B. Son. Speaking of which, does anyone else have a B Son tee? The tag says dry clean only, but this thing is 100% cotton and it's a little longish in the sleeves, which is annoying..I would like to wash it.

well, i don't work them out at the gym or anything but with distance running and playing soccer all my life, they're definitely not skinny. the thighs were a little tight at first but loosened up.

+1. An excellent colour mix + uncontrived garment choices = surefire combination

Speaking of contrivances, here's me today:
