Cool. I bought a pair like those last year off of ebay. It was a special make-up for Read's Footwear in the UK. I think the shop owner was selling off his leftovers.
I just use conditioner on my cavalier and chromexcel. I use Saphir Renovetour. I wouldn't use any paste wax on it. Just cream if it ever needs color. Nice looking lwbs.

Interesting. I got mine at Tricker's Jermyn Street store. Wasn't sure if it was a standard make-up or something they just happened to have kicking around.
Went there to size myself up for a pair of Stows but found the 4497 last doesn't agree with my feet, then noticed those Bowoods. You can see what happened next...
End or some one like that had a similar make-up with the smooth/grain swapped. They may have been Stows now that I think about it.
Herring does it on their Steeple boot.
