During my last mto, Richard was kind enough to take a picture of different suede swatches.

From left to right, maracca, copper, golden tan, highland fox, and curry. I settled on the highland fox.

What was your MTO?

I wanted a tobacco suede cap toe derby similar to the one in this AA picture.

Richard was somehow able to get that style on a 6038L last for me; here are the final specs.

One pair of (as) Waterloo, Plain Cap Toe Derby with Single Row of Punching on the Toe Cap.
Last, 6038L.
UK Size 10 1/2, fitting 6.
Colour, Highland Fox Suede.
Lining, Vintage Green Calf Lining.
Eyelets, Blind Eyelets.
Laces, Dark Brown Laces.
Welt, 270 Degree Flat Welt in Dark Brown Finish.
Sole, Double Leather Sole but with ‘Forepart Thru’ only, and Closed Channel Stitching.


The "forepart thru" is Trickers way of describing a double to single leather or haf sole.

I saw a pair on ebay with dainite sole, isn't it a non sens to build a summer shoe with thick rubber sole?
