The waist can stretch back to its raw pre soak measurements after wears. Beyond that might be a bit difficult. The momos are tight weave indeed and that's why I like it.

Hi. New to thread. Just preordered Momos 0705tn. I'm thinking of changing the size. I am a true waist size 33. All my current pants and jeans have a 34ich waist, but they are loose and sag. My other jeans have smaller thigh measurements than the 0705tn, so I'm not worried about that. Should I get a 33 in the 0705tn?
    Thanks!

^ What are your "current" jeans. Momo "Vintage" denim shrinks eventho partially sanforized ... & doesn't stretch much, as u prolly gathered from reading through this thread.

I sized up on the 701.

I have a Momotaro 13oz silk denim and would prefer to shorten it before first washing. The label says sanforized. Has anybody experiences if the silk denim shrinks in length?

I know this is the Momotaro thread, but I cant seem to find one for Japan Blue. Has anyone tried Japan Blues Hi-Tapered fit? I'm thinking of ordering a pair off of okayadenim or denimio, so i want to get the fit perfect, cause returns seem like a huge hassle.

Do you own other denim that you could compare it too? I'm in between size 33 and 34 and i'm not sure which one to get. The waist measurement is a tad bid tight for the 33, but I might be able to stretch it out.

Depends what fit you prefer. I wear Momotaro Copper Label G004-MB 34 (abit tight on the waist), N&F Weird Guy 36 (I can wear a 34, but will be too tight on the thighs), Gustin Slim 35 (tight on calves and thighs, don't really like this), Japan Blue Hi-Tapered 36 (loose on the waist, but if sized down, will be too tight on my calves and thighs).

I don't like my pants too tight.

I like a nice tapered fit. I have been looking for a tad bit bigger pants in the thighs so I can have a little more freedom, but i'm a fan of small leg openings. I might just go with the size of 34. I wore a size 31 in APC petit new standard and I almost died every time I wore them. I currently have unbranded size 33 skinny, and unbranded size 34 tapered

Just go with the measurements VS your current jeans. They are quite accurate.

    HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

Need advice please. My awesome wife says that I can get an Iron Heart 666S-21 or a Momotaro Vintage Label pair of jeans. For me, comfort is #1, and I am currently breaking in a pair of Tulp jeans and another......

Back to the Momos and Iron Heart. I really need advice please. What would you pick? (and why??!!)
    THANKS!!!!!

if i'm not mistaken, the IH you mentioned is a 21-oz denim and i believe Momo vintage label 0701 or 0201 are 15.7-oz. i live in southern california and nobody can pay me enough to get in a pair of denim heavier than 17 oz. to me they're almost complete different products. 21-oz denim would just be too heavy/hot for me.

Please. Don't make the bostonians laugh at us. I know we put on our mittens and beanies when it's 55 degrees in the mornings...

Ironheart and Momotaro are very different.

I have two pairs of Momotaro jeans, vintage label 0202 15,7oz and BOM008-T 18oz. I haven’t worn the BOM a lot yet. Both jeans seem to be made from the same fabric. The BOM has nice details, while the 0202 is rather basic. They are tightly woven, didn’t stretch and feel quite hard, even after about a year of wearing them. Because of the tight weave, they are not very breathable; not the best jeans for high temperatures.

First I thought my Ironheart IHxRH-666S 21oz were a bit too tight, but they started to feel comfortable after wearing them for two weeks. The fabric is heavy, but doesn’t feel like it, because it moulds to the body and stretches where it has to stretch. Tough jeans with a soft feel. The details are quite interesting: belt loops sewn into the waistband, lined rear pockets, taped front pockets, double selvedge fly…

Both pairs are hard to fade, which is a good thing. They are both high quality jeans of outstanding construction.

So, you'd go with Iron heart? I am not that much into fades. I'll just throw the jeans in the washing machine (inside out) and line dry it (it is bone dry in CA anyway)

I like Iron heart for the poly thread.....

Leaning IH-666S-21 compared to the Momotaro Vintage label. Thanks all!

If comfort is your priority and the 666 fit is good for you, yes.
