Hi all,

Here at NPS Shoes our Solovair signature stitching is grey. Although we can produce footwear with any colour stitching (except yellow) for wholesale orders.

Any plans to bring back Solovair 'Hawkins' in that softer, fuller-grain burgundy leather without heel tag that you used to make? I've got your 6-eye version and they're my favourite boots, but I missed the boat on the 11-eye ones.

Hi Bela,

Thanks for your message. I believe you are talking about the 6 eye Derby boots in our Premium range. If so, then we have no plans at present to bring back the Hawkins in that range. We have released a number of new styles in our steel toe cap range as well as our Classic range that might be of interest to you. Keep an eye on our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram for news of latest releases.

Thanks from Solovair Customer Services

Nope, I'm talking about the 11-eye 'Hawkins' in full-grain burgundy leather without heel tag. As I wrote, I've already got the 6-eye ones.

Some nice fabrics there, but the rounded collar points on the Morgan /Gauss styles are a negative IMO.Typical of Italian design, never satisfied and always pushing the envelope

I get what you’re saying but I don’t mind that detail. They’re not exactly exaggeratedly-rounded in my opinion.

No direct experience, but equally tempted. Lorenzo (the guy behind Capirari) has also been working on a Harrington...

They actually put out the prototype of Harringon in Wild Green, Indigo Blue and Chili Red colors.

04:40 onwards for an authoritative view on the weak influence of Ivy on skinhead together with some other observations not quite in line with the imagined spirit of '69

John never liked the skinheads who made up the biggest demo graph of his buying customers and does not really understand them or their timeline . Not just the Harrington we have the Ivy shop to thank for but the Brogues / Gibsons / smooths craze after he intercepted Timpson's 'Royals ' that were initially made for US Export . 69 / 70 every kid in london and home counties had heard of the Ivy shop and countless local shops in every high st copied its stock as much as they could .

Just a heads up, I've aquired over 100 deadstock New England Shirt Co shirts. I'm starting to post them up on my eBay store Ivythreadsvintage.
