yup, I thought about that as well..

so now that don/dick is reborn, are we finally going to see REAL don/dick? or the return of dick whitman? or maybe an even more ruthless, ambitious don draper?

He annoyed me a little bit when he wanted a hot rod job. Go ********** what you're good at!

The way the writers are exploring the dual sides of Don Draper seems a bit clumsy to me. He's either this heartless, savvy, self-absorbed ad exec or this lost, wild-eye country boy-man. Can't he struggle with both sides at the same time? Along those lines, the depiction of Betty is more interesting to me. She vacillates moment by moment from the perfect suburban wife to the immature, spoiled woman to the bored, mean-spirited friend. The story-line of setting up her two riding partners and then chastising her friend for having an affair was brilliant.

Pete Campbell is my favorite character. The way he tossed that hen and poured himself a glass of scotch after arguing with his wife was perfect for his character.

I think that was payback because Roger made it clear with his "you don't like French food" or whatever his comment was that he had been boning her, and she tried to blow it off when her fiance' asked her about it.

I thought the way he tossed the hen was a little wussy. It would have been a lot more satisfying (although a lot more of a cliche') to have thrown it against a wall. Or better yet, at his wife. Maybe Duck's dog was out on the street and found it.

This week was my favorite episode of the series.

The scene with Pete throwing the plate out the window - hilarious that he can't even do that convincingly.

The partner meeting was particularly well done.

Um, to make sure they're not dirty. Remember Don had a brand new car.

IIRC, he went from the Ford he had in season one to the Lincoln he bought this season. Thats like going from a Toyota to a Lexus. That is why Betty checked the kids hands,.

lemon is a commonly used derogatory term for a dud car (I can't remember the particular episode so can't help any further) ... and pissing yourself is common after having way to much to drink (I've had mates that have done it in their sleep) but not sure whether it is a symptom of alcoholism to fall asleep at your desk, piss yourself and then wake up

Lots of this stuff has been covered earlier.

And I loved Pete's method of tossing the hen (wait, does that sound rude?) after his little hissy fit. It was completely in character. Pete is a prick, but he's generally not spontaneous; he's a very deliberate asshole.
