My linen sale shirts and trousers haven't shipped yet either, burns think they're waiting to ship those with my jacket when that's ready. According the the most recent estimate, the jacket should be shipping by mid next week.

I need a reality check. This must be my tenth shirt, but I just can't seem to nail down my measurements. I tweak something, overshoot/undershoot, gradually readjust and end up back where I started. Does this shirt look messy because it is not ironed, or should I be aiming for a better fit? Or maybe it's just my body type and posture? Am I just being obsessive? Planning to decrease chest slightly and fix the wrinkles on the upper arm.

Looks pretty good to me, except the chest is too wide and perhaps the shoulders are slightly too wide as well. Nothing wrong with the cuffs, in my opinion, but it looks to me as if the forearms are too narrow. I specify a forearm width in addition to the sleeve width when I order, to avoid this problem. I guess MTM shirtmakers taper the sleeves based on the cuff measurement requested by the customer, which can backfire if the customer prefers a narrower cuff. Happened to me with every CottonWork order I placed. The shirt is also too short, for my taste, but I guess that's your business.

I'm not going for a full cutaway, but I'm interested in trying the NOBD II due to its slightly curved shape.

What sort of jacket did you order?

Brisbane Moss Sand canvas, unstructured and unlined, 3r2 button configuration, patch hip pockets and welted chest pocket, dual side cents, medium brown horn buttons. Last Tuesday they said it would ship in about 2 weeks, and that email was sent 9 days ago, so it should be nearing completion soon.

I find NOBD2 slight curved appealing. Unique in its own way. Most of my shirts for suit/SC and ties are NOBD1, the rest are 2

I was told that my shirts would ship last week but they haven't been sent yet, so they might have gotten backed up a bit recently. Please post pics of your jacket when you get it, though, as it sounds like it will be really nice!

The way everyone tells me to reduce yoke exemplifies my problem. My first shirt started out at yoke 16.75, I increased to 18.5 on my second shirt and decreased conservatively from there, afraid to overshoot yet again. And now I'm going back to 16.75.

I suspect my expectations are too high, in that my shirts will never look as good as in advertising and some pictures posted here by fellow members, simply because of my body type and posture. I have the same problem with suits. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Always helps to get an objective view on things.

Can anyone comment on shrinkage? For those of you who machine wash/dry your shirts, how much allowance do you give? I am about to place an order, but want to take that into account.

if you haven't already, i would get some good pictures showing fit, and shoot an email to luxire asking their thoughts. from my experience, usually they have been pretty spot on with adjustments that should be made to improve fit

i would imagine it would differ by fabric? cold wash and hang drying is what i do and i've seen minimal, if any at all, shrinkage.

Have a shirt made by a bespoke tailor. You will pay a lot for it once, then send it to Luxire to be copied. I don't know how to cut shirt and what adjustments make them fit better. So have a professional make you one, and have @Luxire make you many.

FWIW I am doing this with my entire wardrobe basically. So far my shirts and pants are Sublime from Luxire, soon I will send them my sportcoat and overcoats as well.
