Its the plainest option. The suit itself is the center of the attention, all the other accessories should be quiet to provide counterbalance. I chose silk as opposed to linen because the slubby shantung tie is "dry", the cash/silk suit is a "medium wet" so I thought the PS should be "glossy".
Okay. I actually get that and already understood the use of the silk to offset the tie. I'll admit, the "medium wet" part never occurred to me. We're around the far turn and entering the home stretch, race fans. What makes "ivory" the color of choice? I can't see else anything in your fit that contains the color other than the skin on your right index finger between the joints. What gives? Why ivory? Is it just a counterpoint and could have just as easily been, say, rust or salmon? This is the part where it gets all metaphysical, isn't it?

^ Metaphysical? Not sure. Its really white, not a true ivory. Just not the brightest white there is.

I think any other color would have been extremely jarring and not complimentary to the fit. The point is to compliment, not match.

I'm sure you meant to write "complement". But, with this trimly smart suit and tie, a pocket square could "compliment". [IMG]

    Congratulations on your 10,000th post.
