These trainers are made by Carlos Santos. Their shoes usually have very good price-quality ratio. Their trainers feature Bologna construction with glued outer soles (sewn in the toe area only). However, I had a question about Herring's casual shoes.
Ex this one made by Herring in Portugal?

Unfortunately, I don't know. Probably it's possible to resole them, but I doubt that Carlos Santos or Herring Shoes offer this service...Sorrry for my late reply but does that mean they are recraftable?
From my understanding; the Church's family, after having sold-out to Prada in 2012, missed the business so much that one of the brothers bought Cheaney. It seems they needed a foothold in the industry.I don't own any Church shoes but I visit their outlet shop at Cheshire Oaks two or three times a year and the quality always looks very good, I do have a pair of Cheaney boots I paid £350 for which are very good quality and I know there use to be a connection between Church & Cheaney so if the Cheaney boots are anything to go bye I'm sure the Church Diplomat would be worth the money, however I sometime feel the Church lasts are sometimes a little on the cumbersome side which tends to put me off.
Personally I think I'd rather pay £315 for the Herring than £450 for the Church
Carl.
As to the quality of Cheaney, blah. I made the mistake of purchasing a boot - I like to try different makers - and was only disappointed. It was not that they used crust leather on a boot (but I do question why), but that the finished calf that was present simply folded over the sole.
I'm looking for a two-eyelet derby. I see a Cheaney's "Old" derby for about $300 and also a Herring "Baldwin II" derby that seems to be made by Cheaney for $378. Does anyone have any experience with these shoes?
