I wear them anytime but usually as an alternative to black, especially with a suit. They are dark enough to pull this off, even through they really dark brown.

One improvement that can be made is to make the heel counter a standard one, without the point, and have it spaced a little more away from the ankle edge. Just my 2 cents.

Agreed. Note also the considerable variation in this spacing between the right and left shoe.
