Have you ever seen any good brown sneakers? Rafstros are a shape I like (have black patent), but seriously the browns look awful, same with MMM hi's from this past season. In what context would brown sneakers be good?

Does anyone actually say "I can't wait until these come out in a shade of brown" or "These would look better in brown"?

Admittedly, brown sneakers are not very versatile and can be hard to pair with clothing. However, brown anything is this way. Most people don't have a collection that runs deep enough to justify the purchase of brown sneakers- but if you look at guys that do (i.e. Rfx, gdl, and myself) they probably all do have a pair.

And again, I think those rafs are dope- not an instacop, but they'll be copped nonetheless.

RFX, if you hadn't told me those were brown I probably wouldn't have known. They look almost like the faded black color the CP often does, or kind of like a dark olive, too.

Not really true. Brown shoes/boots are very easy to wear, same goes for leathers. I'm just saying that there is zero context in which one would say "If those rafstros/MMM/CP/whatever were brown, that would look awesome." It's most definitely not a staple, and the only reason to really buy a pair is to settle because you like the shape but can't find a color you want.

Brown isn't settling to me, its a way to break up the monotony. I guess we can agree to disagree.

What's so bad about buying things on sale? You have the means to buy things at retail and go for a relatively cohesive one designer aesthetic. Most people here can't. Hey, if putting together Ervell and Rick works, who the **** cares if you paid 500 or 5000 to create the outfit? Just because the designers have completely different aesthetics and visions doesn't mean that some of their pieces can't create a cohesive whole.

not about cost, it's about playing brand bingo and incoherently pairing **** that makes no sense. uncontrol and synthese are two of the only posters who aren't being worn by their clothes and look comfortable. nothing wrong with sales, doesn't it feel good to pay less? it does to me.

i've been drinking and typing these responses on my phone ._.; my point is that even rick has a few subdued pieces that work with other designers' aesthetics.

I was in between 4 designers and Raf was the first to have the desired color I wanted so yes I said exactly that

What does this even mean?
I think most people buy stuff they like hence they are "wearing the clothes", how can you tell someone is comfortable/uncomfortable through the screen man? Dayum!

the idea that you can judge someone's swag/character/whether or not their clothes or wearing them or they're wearing their clothes through the internet is pretty much bullshit. plus taking pictures of yourself with an autotimer for the internet is an inherently ******* weird process, even if i do it regularly.
