Rosen's new mainline collection, Amdo, has dropped, and it is big and looks like a significant move up-market in terms of materials and ambition, not to mention price. Don't get me wrong, Gracia's clothes are still a remarkable value considering the construction, customizability and aesthetics, but this is more of a statement that this stuff is worth it, than I think we've seen before. And it really is. There's also a clear darkness to this new collection, but it's a rich, enveloping, warm darkness. And there are many completely new models of coat, asymetrical suits, trousers and much more. In other words, it's a whole new, even more serious and beautiful Rosen.

I know Rosen’s stuff by my friend @xeoniq. And while Rais can look good in the Rosen tech wear items, I find that most of the stuff is very Asian clientele oriented. It could probably look very good on my two teen kids (who inherited of the elegance and nonchalance of their beautiful Japanese mother), but not on a Gaijin like me.

I am not going to argue with you because I don't really want to encourage another one of those interminable debates about whether some clothes are only suitable for some kinds of people here. I intended this as a thread for enjoying Rosen's output. I hope that people will respect that.

I feel like this pricing move makes Rosen go from "great value proposition" to "you get good things for what you pay for." It looks great (nothing I'd wear, but I wish I had a friend into this so I could watch them wear it). The visual drama of the outerwear is very exciting, and it definitely awakens my central asian horse person genes.

Curious if the same sort of shift will happen for X (which does blend into my style more) and S (for me, the vacation shirts rather than the casual suiting).
