Agreed that Mike and Adele should stay off SF for a while and just enjoy being in Rome. Mike, if you are reading this, please go back to real life.

But the rest of us have to think about the coming summer months. That is why this is such good news:

>>Oh, and I'm wearing a long-sleeve polo sample that we may be making at an incredible knitwear house in Southern Italy which we may put out in both short-sleeve and long-sleeve and which may possibly be the best freaking polo available anywhere and which has proven able to break me of my 17-year long addiction to Fred Perry shirts. These are going to kick some serious ass:<<

A truly good polo, like a truly good chino, is "easy to imagine, but difficult to find." I'd be interested to know why that is, in case anyone knows. Anyway, this is very interesting. I've been looking into the Kent Wang option, but I have the feeling Mike might pull through with something better. Quality fabric, with a non-wimpy collar that sits up on the neck. In the meantime:

>>I know that we just got some shirts in, although I'm not sure of the exact collars on them. The long-awaited white OCBD arrived though!
Ah sorry, that is the last seersucker on the horizon. We do have a seersucker shirt in-bound in the next few weeks though.<<

We'll stay tuned.

>>USPS to most European destinations usually involves some sort of customs tax. In places like Australia, Hong Kong, and Ireland, the boxes often arrive tax free. With shipments to Canada, there's often some duty, but it's usually reasonable given the NAFTA agreement and the fact that most things we offer are made in the USA.
We don't use UPS, FedEx, or other private carries for International shipping. Not only will you be liable for the same tax, but they typically levy a customs brokerage charge on top of it. USPS goes through your local carrier, so there's no brokerage or additional fees. It's very reliable too.<<

I always have to go through Parcelforce. They are reliable, as you say, and I appreciate that. I don't much enjoy paying the tax and customs in the UK, but that is my problem. I choose to live here.

^ Get the hell off SF and go enjoy your time in Rome with the misses Mike!

Haha, there's no keeping me away! It's all good - Adele and I brought dueling laptops and we logon twice a day. Got lots of emails and a staff to communicate with. But don't worry, we're fully enjoying our time here. I think that I'm averaging around 6000 calories a day of coffee, cheese, ham, and sugar. It's great.

And yesterday we hit the Terme Di Caracalla:

I will copy this outfit in about a week so we can be aZn bros. I went to pick up the pants tonight, but they let too much out. I asked them to take in about .25 inch. I'm very picky about how the waist fits. Right now, they have 4 pairs of Epaulet trousers. :( I only got 2 back today.
Mike, dude...go enjoy your vacation! :slayer:

Great fit on the chinos, and I love them with that jacket!

Thanks for the well wishes WJ!

Is there any chance that the charcoal turtleneck will be restocked or is that a done deal now that spring is starting?

Ah, sadly that was a one-shot deal. Sorry!

GBear... well done. Looks great. A very different rendition of how Epaulet chinos can be worn.

Funnily enough I've long been of the opinion that polos have been the one staple badly missing from Epaulet so that's great news (Maybe not so great for another forum affiliate who does very good polos but he has his own very loyal clientele).

On the rivet chinos, I'm a 99% jeans chap so this is all new to me and will take some time getting used to. I'm pleasantly surprised by how casual they are - see GBear's fit - and think they look better with trainers, moccs, boat shoes etc than leather soled shoes.

Oh and I got the Armor Lux x Beams top for my better half - smart move, she loves it and I'm in the good books.

Enjoy la bella Roma Mike, one of my favourite cities.

Man I love Italy. Two trips last year but none planned for 2012 so far.
Would jump on a long sleeve polo. As others have said, hard to find a nice one.

Been wanting to go for quite some time now. It was supposed to be our honeymoon trip, but we couldn't afford it at the time. My wife's been once before, but I've never been. Not fair!!

(And yeah, a long-sleeved polo in navy would be magnifico.)

Really happy you both enjoy Rome, it's my hometown and it's one of the nicest cities in the world
If it happens you come to Umbria (close to Rome), maybe to visit Cascate delle Marmore (Marmore Falls), i'll be happy to meet you and have a nice time together! But I know there is so much things to do and see in Rome that six months could not be enough...
So enjoy Rome and Italy and please forgive some little awkward things that can happen in my country!

PS: Hope you are here to start your next shop "Epaulet in Rome".. so italians can buy epaulet's garments ...... just kidding :D

Those Sunspel polos that Epaulet sells are already very nice. Will be interesting as always to see what Mike comes up with!

Guys, I don't mean to be a shill (which means I'm gonna be), but since these have been sold out and out of production for a while, I'd like to direct your attention to some a dandy pair of dandy Epaulet trousers in my sig. These are one of my favorite pairs of pants, but they are no longer forgiving on my, ahem, proportions.

More like Brooklyn on the Thames today...

I post this with some hesitation, but I think the new rivet cut is too small for me and I should have sized up. I have a French Blue and Caramel that have been worn twice each (I think the Caramel was worn 3 times) that I may want to sell if I can recoup my cost. I figure the fact that these went so quick, and even the next re-stocks are already claimed I'd like to offer them at what I paid, $150 each, if anyone wants them. I'd eat shipping, and you'd get these asap. The Blues were let out about an inch and a half, and the Caramel are unaltered. Both are full length and have been rolled up twice, but i'm sure a wash would take care of any creases. I don't mind waiting for a later restock or grabbing another color in a size that fits better. PM me if there's interest at that price, or if you want to trade a 33 for the 32.
