Yeah I love my Rudy's...picking up my French Blues and Stewart Tartans from the tailor tonight! I had to get them hemmed about a quarter of an inch, so they should be perfect now.

Also, I just saw some nice Corduroy Walts go up on the Sale section....are any of these offered in the Rudy fit? I'd love to pick some up, but it looks like they're only available in the Walt right now.

BTW...geoff why can't those Cigar Cordovans in your sig be in a 12B. I would have bought them by now.

Just got my blue pinpoint oxford in, and I'm even more impressed than I thought I'd be. Killer fit, killer construction guys. I'm just upset that the pink was sold out in my size and it doesn't look like there will be a shirting refresh before I leave the country =[

Alright, enough riding Epaulet's products' jocks; how about something totally different?

Racked is having a "hottest shopkeep" vote online and I saw the word "Epaulet" in my email inbox. Intrigued, I clicked and saw...

Epaulet's own Dylan as an option. Lol. It is quite the badass beard, I must say.

Whoa, you beat me to it! Thanks for posting this up!

Now, I realize that the current winner is a Hugo Boss girl who's wearing red heels, a skin-tight dress, and a gold chain big enough to lock a bicycle, but if you could find it in your heart to vote for Dylan, please do so! There's no prize or anything - just the sweet, smug satisfaction of having the official "hottest shopkeep" in New York holding down our shop. In your face Hugo Boss!

Alright denizens of the Epaulet thread, or Mike himself, I don't often find an occasion to wear a suit but I did pick up this BoO/Martin Greenfield blazer at a sample sale a while back. I've got a wedding in a couple of weeks, and I'm trying to find a pair of trousers to pair with it. I'd like to go with a pair of Walts (the slimmest Epaulet fit?). Would anyone like to advise me on what I can get away with pairing with this? I'm looking to stay pretty conservative, just trying to complete the look, and the trousers did not come with. Thanks.

Color is closest to the first picture, if not slightly darker. The white balance is off in the close up. Since it's wool herringbone, I'm worried purchasing a wool herringbone pant from somewhere else will be too close without matching. Can I successfully pair herringbone with a different trouser?

Total noob on suiting. Thanks for any help.

I don't think the pattern is a big deal. the best option would be to go darker with a darker gray or blue. However, because it is a summer wedding you could do something bright if you are adventurous probably these:

http://www.epauletshop.com/servlet/the-593/Slim-Walt-Trouser-Cotton/Detail

Basically, don't try and match the fabric, because unless it is the exact same fabric, it will look off.

If you have the confidence, my vote goes for the french blue trousers. That with a white oxford and some whiskey brogues could be super sharp.

This is why I love Styleforum. If anyone else has advice it is welcome. Thanks.
