anyone try the balloon pants from this season yet? Do you guys typically size down for these since they are cut generously?

tried them on at canvas malibu a few weeks ago - i'm usually a 34 (or L, I believe) and trie both L and M. L fit nicely, except too much ballooning in the "seat" - not super "flattering." The M was a better fit in the behind, but a little shorter (cropped) than I'd wish. In the end, I think I'll stick to the M but wish they were slightly longer and a bit more billowy in the leg. I just don't want to look like I'm wearing an adult diaper...

Funny you bring this up. I just came into the thread to say that yesterday was 70 degrees on the westside of 'The Land' and thought it to be an ideal time to breakout the gray tropical wool balloon pants.

I went ahead and just gambled with the XL's (normally I'm a 36 in EG pants). The guy on the phone at Nepenthes actually recommended that I go with L's, but I am happy with the XLs. I should note that I plan to wear my pants with really long drapey tops, so I don't really care how things look in the seat. The seams sit just above my ankle, so they go pretty well with some slip-ons. This will be a popular look for me this summer.

Ive got a pair of the grey tropical wool on the way. Sized down. Will post a fit when they arrive. Hoping these can be a goto for me this summer also.

I should point out that at 6'4", I have a longer inseam than most, so the extra length is a big plus for me and played a role in deciding between the L and XL.

Anyone got a price on the Timex watches? Or any info regarding their proposed availability tomorrow?

Can anyone proxy the watch for the neighbour up north? Tried to order the vans but Nepenthes NY doesn't ship to Canada.

Meant to post this here instead of the fit thread:

Received my EG Vans today. This size down 1/2 rule holds true—they're a 9.5 and fit identically to my size 10 regular authentics. I'm a 10d brannock for reference.
